A few days ago, I saw this girl walking down the street with no shoes on. She definitely wasn't homeless. Even if she was, the homeless people I've seen all wear something on their feet. She was just walking with a friend like there was nothing wrong. There must be something wrong if you are walking through downtown Atlanta barefooted. This is the city. Not some country road where you don't have much to worry about stepping on. The ground here is definitely not clean enough for me to put my bare feet on. Does she know how much crap is on a city sidewalk? I don't think she does, because she had no problem with exposing her feet to the elements. She could have at least had her shoes in her hand. There was nothing. I would never step outside in the city barefooted. Atlanta isn't the beach. I also want to know where she was going. I'm pretty sure most buildings require you to have shoes before you enter. Was she going to stand outside and wait for her friend? I don't know. All I can say is I hope she stepped in something to teach her to wear shoes when walking through a city. If not, I hope she washed her feet before climbing into bed. If she didn't, that's just nasty.
